Longing to be apart of something.

Longing to belong.

But also, afraid at the same time.

Afraid of what's new. I think that's where I've been awhile, subconsciously.

Like a nation,

Like a person,

know their culture

know their history

know their stories

know their language

and

you will understand them better.

Their history, their stories,

inextricable from the timeline,

it's what made them them today.

Their culture, their traditions, their values,

reflect what they hold dear in their own distinction.

Their language, their inflections,

express their spirit.
